Point of Difference is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Co-working Community Manager at Perch in Bicester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a personable individual with excellent language skills and a head for customer relations.

Since early 2018, Perch Co-working has developed into a buzzing, vibrant business centre in the heart of Bicester. Andy and Vashti Bedwell have developed this location from being an empty retail unit to a welcoming home for a number of small and start-up companies as well as a base for employees from larger businesses. Point of Difference are now looking for someone special to assist in establishing and growing Perch Co-working Community.

As the Co-working Community Manager, you will be the face of Perch to existing and new customers. You will be trusted and relied upon by our customers to be their first point of contact and will be expected to keep a well-maintained, professional relationship with them from the moment they join the co-working community. The main purpose of the role is to be a trusted advocate for the business, to encourage people to join and stay committed to the working community.

We are looking for someone who is:

Professional: In everything they do, the Co-working Community Manager must have exceptional levels of professionalism. They must be able to competently communicate through both speech and the written word; a good grasp of the English language and attention to detail is key to this role. They will be able to efficiently navigate their tasks whilst masterfully maintaining key relationships with customers and key contacts in the surrounding Bicester community.

Principled: The members of Perch will have trust in the Co-working Community Manager and the ideal candidate will be able to show that they can hold this responsibility with certitude.

Personable: Building and maintaining relationships is key to this role and the Co-working Community Manager will be amiable and friendly whilst still maintaining a professional countenance. The ideal candidate will be able to represent Perch as with authenticity and integrity in every interaction.

Community Focused: The ability to build and maintain relationships with the members of Perch Co-Working Community and Bicester’s community is key to this role. The ideal candidate will be focused on what is best for Perch’s community and be able to effectively liaise with both customers and key contacts from Bicester and the surrounding area when required.

Active: The Co-working Community Manager will be active within Perch; they are the first point of call for our customers and community connections. The ideal candidate will be able to efficiently perform tasks and consistently complete them to a high-standard.

From a day-to-day operations standpoint you will cover four main areas:

  • Attract new clients and connections – You will be expected to be the first point of contact with customers through a variety of touchpoints such as social media, updating the website, attending networking events, and running promotional campaigns.
  • Sell the space – Excellent sales skills are key to this role as you will be expected to conduct site tours, demonstrate the benefits of becoming a member, meet potential customers and be able to offer the right solutions for customers depending on their needs.
  • Manage – You will be the face of the business and the main point of contact for members and the wider community. You will be expected to work alongside our member-hosts to deliver a great customer experience for all who use Perch.
  • Grow and develop – You will support the business as it grows, be flexible and prepared to travel to the other sites, contribute new and innovative ideas and ways of working.
